Terms and Conditions
Last updated 10 September 2026
The one that matters most: PiggyBankMath is a record keeping tool. It writes down what your child earned and what you paid them. It never holds, transfers, processes or has any access to actual money. Every dollar moves directly between you and your child, exactly as it would if you were keeping score on the fridge.
By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What PiggyBankMath is, and is not
PiggyBankMath lets a parent set a rate, lets a child practice math, and keeps a running record of the resulting balance and of the payments the parent records.
PiggyBankMath is not a bank, not a money transmitter, not a payment processor and not a financial service of any kind. The balance shown in the app is a number in a record, not funds held anywhere. No money is ever stored, transferred or processed by this service or its operator. Marking an amount as paid records that you handed cash to your child; it does not move anything. The obligation to actually pay your child is entirely between you and your child, and PiggyBankMath is neither a party to it nor a guarantor of it.
Nothing in the app is financial advice, and it makes no claim about educational outcomes.
2. Who may use it
- You must be 18 or older and the parent or legal guardian of every child you add.
- You are responsible for everything that happens in your account, including what your children do inside it.
- Children do not hold accounts and do not agree to these terms. You do, on behalf of your household.
- Keep your password to yourself. Tell me at hello@piggybankmath.com if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
3. This is a free beta, and that has consequences
- The service is currently free. There is no card, no subscription and nothing to cancel. If it ever stops being free you will be told well in advance, and no charge will ever appear without you actively agreeing to it first.
- It is in active development. Features can change, move or be removed.
- It is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It may contain bugs and may be unavailable at times.
- Keep your own copy. The Bank tab exports your complete history as a CSV in one click. Data loss is unlikely but possible, and the export exists precisely so a lost record is an inconvenience rather than a dispute with your child.
4. Your data
Your account data and your children's records belong to you. They are not used to train anything, sell anything or advertise anything. What is collected and how to export or delete it is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Deleting a child permanently destroys that child's balance, practice history, payouts and adjustments. There is no archive and no undo. The app warns you and offers a backup first, but the decision and its consequences are yours.
5. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- Try to access another family's data, or probe, scan or interfere with the service.
- Use the service to store anything sensitive. Adjustment reasons in particular are free text that your child will read.
- Use it for anything unlawful, or to harm or exploit a child in any way.
- Resell it or present it as your own product.
6. Ending it
You can stop at any time by deleting your children and asking for your account to be removed. The service may be suspended or terminated if these terms are broken, or if PiggyBankMath is discontinued. If it is ever discontinued you will get reasonable notice and a chance to export your records first.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PiggyBankMath and its operator are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost data, or for any disagreement between you and your child about what was earned or paid. The record in this app is a convenience and a memory aid, not an authoritative financial statement, and any total liability is limited to the amount you have paid to use the service, which while it is in beta is zero.
8. Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially the date at the top changes and you will be emailed before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
